Practice Physical Therapy consistent with the states Certified Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice and Standards of Practice policy.


  • Practice Physical Therapy consistent with the APT Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Policy
  • Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the department/facility
  • Confer with the person(s) most closely associated with the active management of the patient and to keep them informed of an additional patient needs, treatment modifications and/or progress
  • Treat patients of any age (e.g. infants, children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, elderly, ages 0-120), race, creed, gender and disability without bias or prejudice
  • Appropriate use of Physical Therapy Assistants and/or Physical Therapy Students
  • Respect and understand the patient’s right to treatment and right to involvement in treatment decisions
  • Practice ethical responsibility based on the cultural, ethnic and religious beliefs of the patients served and applicable law
  • Evaluation reports/summaries
  • Discharge reports/summaries
  • Progress reports to referring physicians and agencies
  • Current progress notes on all patients within their area
  • Special reports as requested by the Director and/or Supervisor
  • Daily attendance records and summaries of same
  • Keep abreast of new techniques and trends in the field of Physical Therapy


  • Graduate of an approved school of Physical Therapy
  • Minimum of two years department/facility experience
  • Must have State Licensure or Registration
  • American Heart Association BLS required
