Purpose and Scope:

Prepare and issue accurate salary payments, considering OT, shift differentials, and deductions and withholdings. You’ll prepare payroll schedules and records and you’ll contribute to various accounting tasks, such as but not limited to updating payroll files. You will also assist with accounts payable duties as needed.


Full time days, M-F, 8 am-5 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. All Staff Members perform in accordance with Estes Park Health’s Mission, Vision and Values

50% of time

2. Preparation of Bi-weekly payroll
3. Monitor paid and unpaid leaves
4. Audit and update timekeeping software, Kronos
5. Ensure payroll taxes are calculated and paid accurately

15% of time

6.Update and maintain payroll reports
7. Resolve payroll problems
8. Respond promptly to employee questions regarding pay details
9. Work closely with human resources and IT personnel to maintain accurate payroll processing

5% of time

10. Participate in payroll, workers compensation and other payroll related audits
11. Ensure compliance with governmental laws on payroll accounting

30% of time

12. Assist with weekly accounts payable duties such as but not limited to invoice input, vendor inquiries, and check runs
13. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong computer and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Requires strict confidentiality, attention to detail and analytical capabilities. Ability to work independently, as well as be a contributing team member.  Strong desire to constantly improve processes and increase efficiency.

Education and Experience:

  • AA/BA/BS with Accounting emphasis or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in Accounting or Payroll preferred.

Hiring Range:

$20.49 – $27.87, depending on years of experience.

Base Pay $20.49 – $25.61
