Estes Park Health employees help make Christmas brighter for local families
Over the past several weeks, some Estes Park Health employees have been busy little elves. They’ve collected more than 70 gifts and gift cards for four Estes Park families, including 13 children for the Bright Christmas program.
EPH’s involvement with Bright Christmas started in the Patient Financial Services department several years ago. The effort has expanded facility wide. Some employees choose to select the gifts they wish to purchase from the wish list EPH receives. Others choose to donate cash.
With the donations of cash, employees go out and shop to fulfill the wish lists. This week, employees had a wrapping party to get all of the gifts collected decorated, labeled, and separated by families. These donations are then delivered to Bright Christmas. That group hands out the presents to the families.
The nonprofit Bright Christmas has been generously serving families for 37 years. Bright Christmas helps up to 125 families enjoy a brighter Christmas with gifts chosen especially for the children and a generous food gift. Thanks to their efforts, many families in need have been helped through this collaborative outreach.
